To live closer to the land and the people around him, engaging with the local physical, taking care of a place and its carrying capacity. Goal: local ways of being with low financial dependency and high local responsibility and agency. Strategy: test whether that is possible in the East Bay; if not, open to changing locality in or after 2029. Searching in parallel for places and ways where it is possible, Bay Area first, then all of North America. Constrained by the children's schooling.
