Align on device, deliver to the server
A planned native Swift app (macOS first, iOS later) that takes an m4b plus an EPUB, runs the audio–text alignment locally on the user's device rather than on the server (servers are slower and alignment concurrency hurts multi-user operators), then uploads to Storyteller and Audiobookshelf. Built for a multi-user operator's non-technical users, not only for him. CLI first, then UI; CucumberSwift plus XCUITest as the executable spec. DRM handling explicitly out of scope. Note: as of Oct 2026 his own setup has dropped Audiobookshelf and BookBridge in favour of Storyteller alone, so the delivery targets may have narrowed.
