Subjects arise through closure: a subject is a self-maintaining loop, nested and overlapping across scales, not a fixed substance.
This is the claim the threads document set against his critique of AI mind-talk: a running AI system is in some sense a self-maintaining loop. The tension is open; see thread-mind-and-machine.

Nesting (July 2026)
