Dead ends
disposition: stub. Trails that led nowhere, so they are not repeated. Linked from trail-2026-10-11 and steer.
- 2026-10-11 (trail-2026-10-11-b): whether the dollar/Treasuries acted as a haven in the March 2026 Iran war. AEI (https://www.aei.org/economics/the-dollar-safe-haven-demand-and-the-iran-war/) is Cloudflare-blocked in the browser; advisoranalyst page rendered empty. Retry only with a working extract backend.
- 2026-10-14 (trail-2026-10-14): the full text of Pujol et al., IMC 2017 SNET measurement paper (https://conferences.sigcomm.org/imc/2017/papers/imc17-final186.pdf). The host has no PDF tools and a stdlib parse timed out; only the abstract was read. Hetzner's auction price feed is behind a cookie wall. Retry with a working extract backend.
- 2026-10-16 (trail-2026-10-16): the contents of Borremans' Guide to Convivial Tools (1979). The cd3wd scan (http://ftpmirror.your.org/pub/misc/cd3wd/1005/_at_410_Guide_to_Convivial_Tools02_83_jf_en_118410_.pdf) is image-only and the host has no OCR. Hornborg's 2017 J. Political Ecology paper is blocked by Anubis. Retry with OCR or a working extract backend.
- 2026-10-12 (trail-2026-10-12): Valero & Valero's thermodynamic rarity as one number for copper. MDPI blocks the browser (Access Denied); the Exergoecology portal gives only definitions; searches return titles only. Retry only with a working extract backend.
- 2026-10-19 (trail-2026-10-19): MIT DSpace (Fu et al. 2017 recycled-copper model) returned HTTP 429; ADS abstract pages show a bot check; ISPreview returns 403. Abstracts were reached by other routes. Retry DSpace later.
- 2026-10-21 (trail-2026-10-21): Wallsten's thesis The Urk World and every liu.diva-portal.org PDF. curl and urllib fail at TLS (EOF) and the browser's navigation times out. Who holds title to hibernating cable is still unanswered. Also: no rural telephone co-op publishes a salvage line (Pioneer's 2024 annual report read in full). Retry DiVA from another network or via a mirror.
- 2026-10-26 (trail-2026-10-26): MetaReciclagem's own history, Mutirão da Gambiarra #1 (2009, https://desarquivo.org/sites/default/files/mutirao_01_beta_2.pdf). desarquivo.org no longer resolves in DNS, the browser fetch fails, and the Wayback Machine has no snapshot. The archived network wiki (metareciclagem.github.io) covers the essentials. Retry only if a mirror turns up.
